Space City Institute of Houston, Inc. [ SCIH ] – is a 501c3 organization that provides Business Education for Music and Media Initiatives to bring functional awareness to the art of visual communication. SCIH is committed to offer programs and activities to youth and adults with an interest to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. Initiatives will foster an open exchange of sound information, implementation of positive practices and lessons to reduce negative exposure and dialogue in the music and media industry. Our core courses are: Artist Development, Media Development, Entertainment Management, Entertainment Law, Creative Journalism, Sound Engineering, Visual Technology and Internships. www.scih.org

Be on the look out for newly launched program "iCAN", which represents, the International College Arts Network. We are currently seeking funding to promote a journalistic approach to promote higher education in Music, Media and News initiatives through the arts on college campuses.

Artist Development (ADMC 08) The Artist Development program is designed for those students who wish to devote a concentrated study preparing as an artist for professional or semi-professional careers in the music industry. Students will gain first hand knowledge that will directly impact their chosen area of performance in; song arrangement, songwriting, music production, music performance theory, solo performance, studio & performance etiquette, decision making, getting along with peers of like talent, music business survey and music business etiquette.

SCIH has designed all courses to meet music industry standards. Students who complete the requirements of their concentrated program will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Space City Institute of Houston, Inc.
